Rutland man arrested for possession
Troopers based out of the Vermont State Police’s Rutland Barracks, along with members of the Rutland City Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located at 62 Pine St. in Rutland City Feb. 20.
Report: Vermont school embezzling, theft “alarming”
Vermont State Auditor Thomas M. Salmon released a situation report Feb. 21 indicating that since the year 2000, approximately $415,000 has been reported missing from 16 supervisory unions or school districts.
Speed, ice blamed for Lincoln accident
Driver Henrietta Agyemang, 27, was traveling northbound at 407 Gove Hill Rd. in Lincoln Feb. 17. While traveling down a sloping turn, Agyemang hit a patch of ice, lost control of her Volvo auto and struck a tree.

On Feb. 20, Vermont State Police troopers responded to a single motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 7 by Jerry’s Nissan in Rutland Town.
Monkton farm robbed
A burglary was reported at the Norris Berry Farm, 86 Davis Rd., in Monkton Feb. 19. Homeowner Norma Norris returned from vacation to find that her home had been burglarized and several items taken from both inside and outside of the residence.

Vermont State Police troopers responded to the Mountain Sun Motor Inn in Mendon for a suspicious complaint recently.

Arrests made in Holiday Inn sweep
The Vermont State Police executed a search warrant at the Holiday Inn, located in Rutland Town. Three individuals were located inside of a room, Quincy Collins 32, Tiante Maurice Branch, 32. and Thaniya C. Williams 32, all of New York.
State Police say human skull belonged to a female
The human skull found in Rutland County Feb. 12 was that of a female, Vermont State Police officials said. Two missing Vermont women are being considered by the VSP.
Rutland man charged in Bridgewater fatality
On Jan. 15, Vermont State Police troopers investigated a double fatal motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 4 in Bridgewater.
Brandon man captured jail break
Glenn Garvey, 23, of Brandon, was caught three hours after he allegeldy escaped from St. Johnsbury Prison. Garvey is in jail for multiple convictions.
Human skull found in Rutland County
On Feb. 12, the Vermont State Police in Rutland received a report from a member of the public that they had found a human skull along the roadside of Danby Hill Road in Danby. A trooper from the Rutland Barracks and a detective from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations Division responded and took possession of the skull.
New Hampshire man stopped in Killington
On Feb. 11, at approximately 1:48 p.m., a member of the Vermont State Police stopped 23 year old Timothy Finch of Auburn, N.H., on Killington Road in Killington, Vermont. Finch was stopped for failure to stop properly at a posted stop sign, failure to signal a turn, speeding, and weaving on the roadway.
Driver had suspended license
On Feb. 11, a Vermont State Police trooper located Brian G. Coyle of Rutland operating a motor vehicle on State Street in the City of Rutland.
Police seek leads in Rite-Aid robbery
Vermont State Police were dispatched to a armed robbery at Rite Aid Pharmacy, located at 296 Main St., in West Rutland, Feb. 11.
