— Kurn Hattin Homes' eighth grader Thomas Taylor, and sixth grader Destiny Howell, are two of the many children who have been transformed by their participation in the child-centered home and school located in Windsor County, Vt.

Destiny, who just arrived just two months ago, can’t get over the physical education opportunities she had. “I couldn’t run a mile before coming here. I already feel so much more healthy and independent too," she said.

Thomas, who’s been at Kurn Hattin for two years, has lost weight; gained friends, and sung solo in concerts. “Before coming here I was bounced around to many schools. I was lonely. I didn’t have any friends. Here at Kurn Hattin, I’ve gotten supported in everything I did or needed to do,” he said.
