Rutland Town — On Oct. 16, the Vermont State Police stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Business Route 4 in Rutland Town.
The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Robert Cole. The Vermont State Police said they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle during the traffic stop. A search of the vehicle found Cole was in possession of marijuana, police claim.
Cole was charged with possession of marijuana and was cited to appear at a later date to the charges.
