Hubbardton Officials at the Vermont Agency of Transportation announced that a portion of Route 30 will be closed Oct. 8 through Oct. 15 for construction work on two culvert replacements.
The closed portion of the highway will be located in the Town of Hubbardton.
A portion of the repair work is a response to provide "beefier" culverts for downslope water run off following Tropical Storm Irene flooding in the that portion of Rutland County last year.
Work on the highway started Oct. 1, but the week-long, full closure starts Oct. 8.
During the time the road remains open, one-way traffic rules will be enforced with signal personnel in position.
Drivers are asked to be alert for road crews and to drive cautiously through the work zone.
VTrans officials said the final segment of the road work will conclude on, or around, Nov. 30.
