Grandsons, other family members honor life of Lewis E. Scribner, Jr.

Vietnam veteran lived in Charlotte

SSgt. Durane Scribner (Vermont Army National Guard), of Bristol, SSgt, Travis Scribner (Vermont Air National Guard), of Vergennes, and Spc. Matthew Hunter (Vermont Army National Guard), of Bristol, attended the funeral last week of their grandfather, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran CW2 Lewis E. Scribner, Jr.

Matthew Hunter (Vermont Army National Guard), of Bristol, attended the funeral last week of their grandfather, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran CW2 Lewis E. Scribner, Jr.

In honor of their grandfather, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran CW2 Lewis E. Scribner, Jr. of Charlotte, his grandsons SSgt. Durane Scribner (Vermont Army National Guard), of Bristol, SSgt, Travis Scribner (Vermont Air National Guard), of Vergennes, and Spc. Matthew Hunter (Vermont Army National Guard), of Bristol, dressed in their U.S. Armed Forces Class A uniforms at Lewis’ funeral held March 17 in Charlotte.

Lewis died March 12 in Burlington.

Another grandson, Scott Botala Jr., is not pictured.

Lewis was a long-time resident of Charlotte; his sons are U.S. military veterans Kevin, Rodney and Neil.

Other Scribner grandsons are Kurt Hatch (Oklahoma Air National Guard) and U.S military veteran Ryan Scribner.
