Rutland — To the editor: I enjoyed Lou Varricchio's story (Dec. 28) about the Model-A pickup truck rescued from the Irene floodwater. My parents operated a small farm near Brandon until 1960. My pappy owned a Ford truck that was nearly identical to the one pictured in your newspaper. He sold vegetables out of the back of that Ford, near the intersection of old Routes 30 and 73, until the late 1950s. Our family has photos of dad with the truck.
