Mendon — Vermont State Police troopers responded to the Mountain Sun Motor Inn in Mendon for a suspicious complaint recently.
Troopers arrived and made contact with Annette Rider, 43, of Rutland and two men from Bronx, N.Y.
An investigation at the scene revealed that Rider was in possession of crack cocaine.
Rider was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine.
Rider was transported to the Vermont State Police barracks for processing and later released on a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.
