West Rutland The Marble Valley Players will hold open auditions for their Spring production of Agatha Christie's murder mystery "The Mousetrap".
As the creator of such famous sleuths as Miss Jane Marple and Detective Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie is the most famous ‘whodunnit’ crime writer of all time. Who has not heard of “Death on the Nile” or “Murder on the Orient Express”?
This year marks the 60th anniversary of "The Mousetrap", which opened in the West End of London in 1952, making it the world’s longest running play.
Director Martin Bones is looking for three women and five men to fill the roles of the eight eccentric people who are snowed in at the Monkswell Manor guest house on the night of a murder. No special preparation is required.
A description of the characters is available at www.marblevalleyplayers.org. For your convenience, you may also download a PDF of an audition form to fill out and bring with you to auditions.
