Division I All-State football teams announced

Rutland's Kyle Kelly, Middlebury's Marshall Hastings and Hartford's Tucker Stone were among those player named to the Division I High School All-Star Football Team.

— The Vermont high school All-State football teams were recently selected, with several local student athletes being named to the first and second teams, including Rutland's Kyle Kelly, Middlebury's Marshall Hastings and Hartford's Tucker Stone.

On the offensive side of the ball, the aforementioned Tucker Stone was named the Division I, first team all-state quarterback after leading the Hartford Hurricanes to the D-I state championship, while CVU's Drew Nick was also named to the first team. TJ Wesson of Mount Mansfield and Dillon Robinson were named all-state second team.

At running back, Marshall Hastings of Middlebury, Troy Bell of Hartford and Connor Devarney of South Burlington were all named first team, while Josh Claflin of Hartford, Derek MacAdoo of Essex, Nick Ferrintino of CVU and Alex Cross of MAU were named second team.

At the fullback position, BFA's Sam Rose was named to the first team, while Middlebury's Jordan Connor and Hartford's Joe Wood were named to the second team. Rutland's Joe Sullivan was also an honorable mention.

At wide receiver, the aforementioned Kelly Kyle of Rutland was named to the first team, while CVU's Ryan Beaudry, Brattleboro's Soren Pelz-Walsh and South Burlington's Will Thompson were all also named first team. Matt Mulcahy and Trevor Yandow of Essex and Evan Nolting of South Burlington were named to the second team. Also at tight end, Ben Thieken from BFA was named first team , while Mount Mansfield's Carter Glenn was named second team.

Down in the trenches of the offensive line, Rutland's big-and-versatile John Norman and stand out teammate Mack Shea were both named first team, along with Casey Stevens of Colchester, Bobby Murray, Steven Ladka and Michael Dulak of Hartford, Corey Garfield of Mount Mansfield, Richard Emery of St. Johnsbury and Alec Distler and Dylan Raymond of CVU.

The second team offensive line included Joe Johnson of Hartford, Austin Quesnel, Elias Carter and Jordan Young of Colchester, Andy Hale of Brattleboro, Sean Lunny of South Burlington, Quinn Kropf of CVU, Billy Katen of Burlington and Jeff Ziske of Spaulding.
