Letter to the Editor: The last 48 hours of skiing in Vermont on video

— It’s amazing the difference a day makes. This holiday season, the nation watched as ski areas east to west awaited good news from the skies, seemingly late this season.

Resorts in Vermont feverishly maximized their unrivaled snowmaking capacity with the collective power to lay a foot of snow on 60 acres of terrain in an hour.

Earlier this week, Vermont ski conditions were as good as they could be and then the snow started falling and resorts across Vermont saw over a foot of fresh snow.

Skiers and riders awoke eagerly to bluebird skies and powder yesterday and now 560 trails are open, more than doubling the trail count since Monday. Winter is here; visit Vermont to ring in the New Year.
