— Have you ever walked into a gallery and stood in front of an abstract painting and just scratched your head? I think we have all been there at one point or another.

VTica, the Vermont Institute of Contemporary Arts, is offering a special event this Friday, Dec. 30, at 5:30 p.m., located at 15 Depot St. in Chester, to hear from one of Vermont's own, the outstanding artist, Harry Rich. What a rare opportunity to meet and hear from an artist directly in which he will explain his creative process. This will be an inside look into the mind of a contemporary artist.

All contemplative artwork has its own language; Harry will explain how to read a canvas. With his explanation we are hoping you will walk away with a better insight into interpreting artistic expression.

Please join us, make an evening of it, and bring a friend. The event is free.

Additional parking at Peoples United Bank and Chester Hardware.
