Rutland — On Dec. 3, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a Vermont State Police trooper stopped James Laplante, 48, of Mendon on Kendall Avenue in Rutland.
Laplante was stopped when he failed to signal a turn on nearby Cottage Street.
Laplante was found to be intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested and processed at the Rutland barracks.
After processing, Laplante was released with a citation to appear at a later date and time in Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DUI.
