Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India just proclaimed a prices of their entry-level SUVs, the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. The locally accumulated Land Rover Discovery Sport brings a Rs 4 lakh discount across the board while Range Rover Evoque brings around a Rs 3 lakh discount. The prices have been dropped as exchange rate for the British pound dipped after Brexit owing to lower costs of import.
The Range Rover Sport is inferior through Rs 30 lakh and the company’s flagship model, the Range Rover Vogue, gets an enormous Rs 50 lakh cut in its asking price.
The cut price tags will also help JLR compete more belligerently with German SUVs like the Audi Q5, the Mercedes GLC and the BMW X3 which descent in the same price as the Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque.
Land Rover’s most comfortable flagship SUV LWB, used to convey a price tag start at Rs 2.12 crore for the 3.0-litre petrol as well as the diesel. These cars will now cost Rs 1.57 crore. Range Rover has also announced a new LWB variant with a 3.0-litre V6 engine and that comes in at Rs 1.7 crore.
The LWB Rangie will now go for Rs 3.35 crore, more than Rs 50 lakh minor than the earlier pricing. The flagship 5.0-litre boosted petrol Rangie SV Autobiography also comes in at Rs 3.47 crore.
By the new pricing, Range Rover comes in the confederation of the Toyota Land Cruiser, which means that the Lexus LX might have to reconsideration its pricing approach.
It carries the Range Rover faster to the Mercedes Maybach sequence as a substitute worth mulling over.
JLR’s decision to slash prices of their cars should reflect definitely in the upcoming economic year as the Tata-owned British car creator declares itself into the numbers game in India.
