H1B Visa Rebuild Could Assistance Big Tech Companies


US Citizenship and Immigration Services declared that it has already reached 85,000 visas for the new financial year. The news just comes before four days after the new application period opened up. It also comes with growing call from the new administration to crack down on the abuse of the visa.

20,000 cap with U.S master’s degrees has also been meet. For every application to be selected, it should go through USCIS lottery system. The agency will continue to accept applications that aren’t subject to cap like those tied to some non-profits.

USCIS has not release the total number of application it received, which it likely to do in upcoming week. This is consecutive year that the cap has been met within five days.

Before this year, premium processing helped applicant to receive a reply on the application much faster within 15 days. However, USCIS attempt to reduce overall processing times. Last year 236,000 foreigners applied for H1B visa.

From 2012 to 2015, three big Indian outsourcing firm- TCS, Wipro and Infosys submitted 150,000 visa application.

As Donald Trump’s initiation on 20th January 2017, the H1B visa has come under intense attack.
